I never try to make my writing pretty.

I never use beautiful words strung together for aestheticism.

I could, but I don't.

I believe that the things you say should have purpose, and they should hold meaning, and they should never be forced. So I cut out the bullshit.

Maybe that's from too much Bukowski.

You think my writing sounds crude and sloppy?
Good.
That's life.
That's how I want it to be.
Does it sound uneducated?
Great.
I find some kind of simple irony in that.
I can't take things too seriously.
I like sounding like an imbecile when I know that I'm not one.
My characters are imbeciles--not I.

Get the fuck over your good-tasting words.
Mine taste like shit.
