Active Imagination Notes 01

There are few words so largely undefined
Which make, no,
allow
A person to do something
that would otherwise be considered insane
if it described itself with another word
with a real definition.
Love is one of these
Love is one that encourages the naivety in all of us
Love is one that calls bad decisions “charisma”
Love is one that says a lack of reason is “beautiful spontaneity”
Love is one that refuses to be opposed, out of stubbornness
out of some abstract devotion
Love is one
that we cannot truly live
without.
Because if it is replaced,
or solidified,
it soon demands to return
to its former place.

Love your neighbor as yourself,
because you must Love yourself.
Love your parents who guide you,
because they must guide you.
Love your partner who brightens their day,
because they never darken it.
It all depends on the assumed benevolence of others
which depends on the benevolence
you must have.
Love makes it so.
Love
must be very proficient
at quick retreats or self-concealment
otherwise its mends and repairs
wouldn't fade so often.

Yet, there are other kinds of Love,
which all prove to be true,
but one must ask
are they really Love?
